Short blog today because of one single event:
Jamie tripped and fell at the end of the drive today landing on her bump, although she put her hands out and her knees were grazed her “huge” bump hit the ground!
It shook her up and she was in a little discomfort but I think when shock took over she felt every little ache pain niggle and pull was magnified and she was upset. We decided to go straight to the hospital to get her (and bump) checked out. The staff were magnificent, and put her on a monitor where straightaway we saw that she and most importantly bump was fine, although Reagans movements were rare compared to what we have come to expect. The midwife brought in a glass of COLD water and said drink that…..with in seconds we had Jamie’s bump moving to and fro and a heart rate for Reagan of 160+ she was fine just asleep lol!
We both looked relieved and Jamie’s smile returned, they said they would take blood as a precaution but the results won’t be ready until tomorrow so they wanted Jamie to stay over night so they could just monitor her which we both agreed was shitty but for the best and the only choice. So as I write this she is in Leighton Hospital feeling ok but miserable and lonely in a ward full of women in labour 🙁
