06:30 I was woken by a contraption lol you know what I mean she’s tired said she’d been woken a few times in the night we have run a HOT bath and she is lying in that now 4 contraptions since we got up so no change really, but if anything happens it will be here first!
08:30 Contractions no closer together but still happening, we have a midwife home visit later when we can ask questions to see if there is anything we can do to progress this? Jamie is tired but spirits are still up and she is eating!
10:30 Not being experts we thought these contractions were the real thing but apparently “the experts” can tell over the phone that they are Branston Pickles and we need to wait? The midwife who said on Friday she will see us Tuesday has no booking for us and everyone is saying book an appointment for this coming Friday? That’s fine but now Jamie has gone from confident labouring mother to be, to WTF is going on!
11:06 Official, nhs left hand doesn’t know what nhs right hand is doing! No midwife appointment today but we had to call to find out it would have been too early for a second sweep? We have been told to wait it out which would have been fine if we were told that on Sunday but “the experts” said should be very soon! Jamie is very upset because she now feels she has no idea what is going so… play suspended for now we are sitting in the pavilion waiting for the umpires Branston and Pickles to let us know when play can begin?
13:11 OK the situation now is, calm is restored and Jamie is OK although a little pissed off that she in being told 14 different things by 14 different people all of whom don’t talk to one another. In situations like this there is ONLY one coarse of action and that is to get in the car and drive straight to…… MacDonald’s for a chocolate shake, of coarse?
