Red Red Wine\Mist…

18 Apr

Sitting in the sun and relaxing with a morning coffee and newspaper is without doubt the best way to start any day. We did similar today as yesterday walking into town and back because there’s still no sign of Reagan.
Mums for Sunday dinner and nodded off in the chair after it, only to be woken by Jamie saying RIGHT, I’m going home! LOL……. Anyway once at home we decided another walk was required so did the same walk as this morning but, the opposite way around? (radical) While out we (jamie) needed to pee so halfway round we stopped off at Kings Arms but on the way in a car passed, this was verbatim what Jamie said “don’t give me a dirty look, you Emo piece of shit!”
A word of warning to anyone seeing a 39 wk 2 day hormonal pregnant lady walking in to a pub a a sunday evening….do not look at her as though she’s obviously going for a drink, or do so at your peril!
With the possible opening of the BEST wine I’ve ever owned I want to try and appreciate it when it hits my palette. I want to be able to say why its different to the other reds I regularly choose to drink purely on a financial basis. If it costs £3 – £4 I buy it and drink it and don’t give a flying….what it taste of!
Tonight I opened a bottle of wine with the intention of tasting it (a first for me!) and I have read a bit about how to do it as well. So we both wrote down what we tasted:
Wine

Gallo Family

Sycamore Canyon 2008
Cabernet Sauvignon
Jamie
Dark berry, Blackberry, Vanilla, Black or Raspberry Plum or Blueberry
Al
Fruity, blackcurrant.
Jamie got almost all the tasting notes on the label correct and I didn’t but the instructions I read said you can’t be wrong because its what you taste I only wish I’d wrote Vimto because it has such an after taste of it, but apart from that when she mentioned blackberry and vanilla I could see what she meant. For a first attempt I was hopeless but you have to start somewhere?
The life of David Gale and bed to finish!

One final thought: Is this what happens when your waters break?
