I wanna get old, I really do, because it is a privilege, so many people do not get to experience. So what have I got to complain about, nothing I suppose unless you include noticing signs that I am getting old’er…?

Today, I succumbed to my failing eyes and went into my phone configuration and increased the font size a couple of notches in a vein attempt to avoid a trip to the optitions  .

Bifocals maybe the future sadly because i need readers and have always needed distance….?

Life is short, I try not to worry and enjoy meself, I know I would have grey hair on me head if I could grow it, my chin is covered in it. I try to laugh every day and have fun, and make memories! Getting old is a privilege so embrace it and most of all don’t waste it!

Specsavers, here I come, I guess…

Lincoln walked into the living room and saw us kissing but still chose to talk to us trying to make us stop Mom turned to him and said “Don’t you mind we are doing Foreplay!”

I added, “Yeh and we’re on three, so get out”

The look on his face was a picture, mom fell about laughing as Lincoln closed the kitchen door and shouted, “Please don’t get to four!”

It’s so easy to wind up our teenagers, lol

Spent me morning talking to R Kid waiting for church to finish so he could donate 7 boxes of craft supplies amassed by Karen over the years that are sadly no longer needed.

My afternoon was spent making a drawer front and a French cleat storage bracket for my Kreg Pocket hole jig. I got so engrossed in both projects I was out there until late evening only realising the time when Jamie came in to ask what I was doing.

I have not been very productive aside from extending my shed this summer so it felt good to move two projects along side by side and just got carried away.

I, along with most of the world it seems, including  Reagan and Lincoln sadly, have just watched Right-Wing activist Charlie Kirk murdered in public, which was visually horrific and shocking to see but in todays society things like this will be filmed and, as this was, shared on social media for all to see.

Everyone is shocked, and everyone has an opinion about whether it is right or wrong because of his extreme views, which I have no opinion on, but I do have an opinion on murder

The horrific visuals should shock everyone to the core because that is a human life extinguished instantly and we watched it, yet 3 children in a High school in Colorado on the same day, were shot and the perpetrator was killed in the same horrific manner and nothing is done no Presidents address or national outrage?

School shootings are so prevalent in America and all involve the same violence and horrific visuals carried out on the youngest American citizens but because we don’t see it happen NOTHING is done to prevent it happening again.

One gun death is too many unless its an innocent school pupil it seems, and politicians in America seem afraid to suggest a change to the sacred Second Amendment right to keep and bear Arms because it would be so unpopular!

Carry on killing our children but how dare you kill a public figure….

Not easy at first to break the habit of drinking to relax but so long as i concentrate on quenching my thirst with coke or fizzy water, it does get easier each night.
