2026

Just spent a glorious 2 weeks off with my family enjoying Christmas with all the stress and worry that as parents we have to make it “perfect” for the kids, even though it’s impossible to achieve.

That said Christmas eve with the Snowman Christmas morning with Grandma Boxing day with Nannie were the main events, the rest was all icing on a traditional cake…!

Lincoln got a steering wheel upgrade and disappeared back into his room Reagan got a phone, make up & a record player and went to her room nothing really changed but we were all together at home and I loved it!

Mom fell for my annual ‘here’s something for the kitchen to make your life easier’ gift that she cast aside because “it’s a mixer!” disappointed that the perfume she really wanted didn’t materialise. She loved her Hollywood mirror and after all the present opening had finished had to be told to unbox her unwanted gift to reveal the real gift…its a tradition.

I return to work tomorrow for one day but I have loved working on improving the ‘closet’ while I’ve been at home, pottering about building a proper storage solution instead of the chaos that was “the closet” before!

2026 is here and my hopes and dreams haven’t really changed from yesterday, health and happiness for all, my brother finds peace and ultimately happiness because I know how hard it must be for him right now. Reagan will go to the college of her choosing after gliding through school working hard to be her best. Lincoln will drum and drama his way through life as he always does working towards GCSEs

Mom will continue to excel in everything she does while managing the torn calf muscle that will dog her very existence until healed. As stubborn as she is to soldier on, it’s very painful and may take 2026 to properly heal which will FRUSTRATE the hell out of her!

2025 for me was great, not perfect but nothing ever is! I am looking forward to this year its another opportunity to have fun and enjoy meself and if I have a resolution get back to blogging, something I miss when life takes over and I don’t set aside time to reflect?
