We just got back from Winsford where we took the kids swimming, it was the first time in months Reagan had been and the first time ever that Lincoln had been. At first we thought it was going to be a disaster when we slid Lincoln into his float and he didn’t look best pleased to say the very least, but some encouragement and he was smiling again kicking his feet and splashing a little himself.

Reagan on the other hand showed no hesitation trotting into the pool in awe of all the water and fearless of any dangers, just let me at it. She was straight in to the water and although could not swim a stroke wanted to be let go of, which of coarse we didn’t but all afternoon she was trying to push us away? It waqs interesting to note that even when we did let her go and she immediately sank, when you grabbed her agian and she coughed the water away she was not phased by it and continued to push us away enjoying every minute

All in all a successful trip but we need to get arm bands and other float aids before we go again because Reagan needs them desperately and maybe a couple of floating toys for Lincoln?

Reagan is learning everything so fast its frightening but most of all its so much fun to be a part of. She has known lots of words for ages now but has started associting them with its meaning now. Colours, animals yes, no, counting, I could go on and on

Yogurt was the new one today and is just one of many foods she knows now the cutest being ‘duce’ (Juice) but toast mash milk sgetti all said with such enthusiasm and now pride that she knows what it means and can communicate them to us and we understand.

She’s loving it and so are we, it will also mean the tantrums will eventually stop because most are sheer frustration that she is not being understood and we can’t explain why thing happen the way they do and its not always what she wants…

Yes we are!

It’s not perfect but we certainly made the right move putting Lincoln in with Reagan because Mommy is getting more undisturbed sleep and he is sleeping through the murmurs and thrutching where as before Mommy would have gone and settled him down or fed him.

He is still waking a couple of times a night and Mommy does go to him but some nights it only once and we all sleep really well considering we have two children under 2 in the house! Reagan sleeps through it all while Lincoln is learning about not being comforted everytime he stirs which is a blessing but Lincoln will be sleeping through the whole night in a few weeks I am sure

We all love ICE CREAM!

When I arrived home tonight I was informed of a new phenomenon in Reagan’s world “pocket!” and was lavished with demonstration after demonstration of this new invention by her putting her dummy into her dress pocket screaming POCKET then pulling it out only to repeat the exercise over and over!

I’m so proud of my little girl!

We are doing very well with our sleeping at the moment but I know just writing this blog could upset the whole equilibrium and our nights could be shattered again.

Lincoln goes to sleep at around 8pm and he usually sleeps until around 12:30 but can go a lot longer and then wakes again around 5am which is brilliant. It does mean we are going to move him in with Reagan which will need them to get used to it but it has to happen sooner rather than later. (If Mommy hasn’t done it already by the time I get home)

Reagan as always sleeps just fine right through the night and this may well cause her some disruption but knowing her she will quickly get used to it and be back to normal.

We’ll see?

Reagan is coming along so much at the moment, her new thing that she is very proud of is pointing at us individually and saying our names Mommy Daddy ‘incoln and then she’ll do it again. If I point at Mommy she says mommy and if I point at Lincoln she says ‘incoln, but the funniest one is when I point to myself I tend to point at my chest and shes say “MILK!” lol

This a typical (?) post teatime Reagan we have to get her from this…
