Well I had a great Christmas and New Year but reality strikes and it’s back to work today 🙁 It will be a shame to leave Jamie and the kids because I have enjoyed every minute I feel very lucky! I think I have the best family in the world and love spending as much time together as we can doing ordinary things like the four of us playing together on the carpet in front of the fire or going for a walk. Christmas is lovely but I am glad its only once a year, Sundays on the other hand should be more frequent we always make special drip coffee and laze about all morning then regret wasting the morning lazing about playing with the kids and stuff, then potter getting the weeks chores done with very little effort.

A bit of a faff today cornered in are all the amenity so not as many tiles laid. I am running out of big areas to tile now and will begin all the cutting next weekend, because alas I return to work tomorrow so that will be the first chance I get to tile again.

Really getting into the technique of laying the tiles now but have to do it in stages because we need to use the kitchen each day!

We saw 2012 in with a carpet picnic of cheeses meats and bread washed down with Champagne for Jamie and Red wine for me

A few more tiles laid and the job is going well

I had to work this morning so I didn’t get home until after 13:30 and when I arrived Jamie was a little stir crazy so I changed and took over the kids allowing her to leave for a while. Reagan was in bed napping so I played with Lincoln for a while until he got tired around 14:30 so I put him into his chair and he was asleep pretty quickly.

I then went to get Reagan who is awake, just, and then spent a couple of hours playing with her and Lincoln when he woke too. Mommy came home and joined in and to be honest although I was keen to crack on with the tiling I don’t think I would have wanted to be anywhere else in the world doing anything else than playing with my family…

Tiling can wait!

This blog is supposed document our lives and keep everyone up to date with what’s going on so I need to tell everyone about this…Reagan can now blow her nose YAY!

Snotty McGee has had her nose wiped by both me and Mommy on many occasions but Mommy today taught her to blow through her nose and now when you say blow she blows. To me that’s great she is learning lot’s of things every day but to teach her something as simple as that is ace.

The hope in my last blog was a night on the sofa with Jamie watching The taking of Pelham 123 snuggling while the kids were fast asleep…but bless little Lincoln’s cottons socks he had the worse night for ages never really settling at all?

We had a couple of goes at watching the film but each time we started it Lincoln woke up, eventually he ended up back downstairs and we gave up all hope of a cozy night in front of the telly.

Last night and tonight we tried Lincoln on some baby rice which we think is the right thing to do right now because he has started feeding more and more? We believe this to be him being hungry and although mommy’s supply is keeping up with him she is exhausted again which is no use to anyone.

He was very resistant of the new texture and taste last night so mommy mashed a slice of banana in to it and he was off and running so we did the same tonight and again he relished it. Last night he slept from 9ish until 01:15 on rice banana mommy juice and coziness maybe tonight he will do the same and we can settle on the sofa to watch my new Christmas DVD?

The time has come to lay ‘Jamie’s’ new kitchen floor and get her off my back about it lol! Not that she has mentioned it much in the two months since we bought the tiles…anyway I set me stall out to start it today and the first job was get rid of the old manky carpet and then clean the floor so the new tiles would stick.

It took longer than I thought it would mixing the adhesive and laying them down but I made a start and when I have been to work toorrow morning I will lay more tiles hopefully with some help or not as the case maybe?
