Another early start for me after and similar night to the last few with Lincoln sleeping OK upto about 04:30 and then needs to be “maintained” which is a good opportunity for me to take over allowing mommy to recharge which is why I’m blogging now.

So I carried Lincoln downstairs and tried to put him on the sofa while I made a brew but he began to cry so I picked him up and made a brew one handed and also got a bottle of expressed milk from the fridge in case he was hungry. Armed with a drink from both of us I settled on the sofa with BBC news on the TV and tried to fathom Lincoln first of all just laying him down again which resulted in crying immediately so mved to nappy which was very wet so changed that but he was still unsettled so put him in his swing chair. After listening to his cry build I got him sat on me knee and tried to feed but he wasn’t interested so winded him and as I was doing this he farted\filled his nappy but it didn’t sound much so I just played with him for a while which kept him good but observed jerky movements so he was tired!

So before I put him back in his chair I changed his nappy and when I opened it, it was an OMG nappy, it didn’t sound much but it was a doozy and took a few wet wipes(lol) to clean him up. Once clean I put him in his swing chair and he was asleep pretty quickly and he is still there, me unfortunately am wide awake but will now try to get an hour before Reagan or Lincoln wakes back up…

We spent Sunday evening wrapping presents to send off to Santa but I had to assemble a “Smart Tryke” first before we could let Santa have it which would have been a task if sober but having just come back from the pub it was even more of a brain teaser.

Today we carried on the tradition for Reagan and began the tradition for Lincoln of going to see Santa the week before Christmas to let him know we are waiting for him and maybe mention a couple of “would likes” if it not too much trouble Santa. The following photos are all we took of the experience and tell the story better than I could in words. I will say though that they don’t show just how hard Reagan was gripping me when we tentatively approached him or how excited she was before and immediately after we met him?

Lincoln on the other hand did sneakily manage to whisper to Santa a whole list of things he wanted and maybe next Sunday he might well get lucky with a couple of them. Who knows…? 😉

Lincoln went to bed at 20:10ish a VERY tired boy but woke at around 20:50 but instead of dashing upstairs to comfort him we stayed downstairs saying we will allow him to cry for 10 minutes first!

After only 4 minutes he self soothed himself back to sleep, which doesn’t sound much but for Jamie and me it means he can first of all do it and secondly he isn’t uncomfortable he just woke up and needed to just go back to sleep? Maybe the new drugs are working now, I really hope so.

Mommy just gone bed at 23:50 and he is still asleep….YAY! Me, I have a sore throat and will sleep down here so I don’t wake anyone coughing a lung up?
