“What the hell is this…and why’s Sacha & Jack Aaallll the way down there?”

Reagan has banana, grapes and sultana’s to eat and fruit juice to drink:

Fitted new lock to garage door

Fitted new baby gate to top of the stairs

Fixed catch on gate

Added a new double socket in garage for new drier

Made wooden pallet with mebrane to shield against damp
for the new drier and beer fridge to stand on!

Fixed outside light!

….back to work tomorrow 🙁

This is Reagan’s reaction to being put down when you have been aiding her to walk for an hour, I walked in and mommy was sat on the sofa holding her back and this was Reagan looking as if the whole world was against her?

Everyone hates me!
Perfect!

I may be dressed from head to toe in Christmas presents (for which I am grateful for and was happy to recieve) but what makes me happiest is family time with Reagan and Jamie.

I spent 38 years thinking I didn’t need children and loved it but I couldn’t imagine living another moment without her now….I may have said this before but hey I frickin’ mean it

It’s funny Daddy, but you look like a dork!

Happy New Year to everyone hope everyone had a great evening and are not suffering too much today, we had a fantastic night at our neighbours Sam Andy and Alfie’s house great food great company and perfect for two couples who added to their numbers in 2010 lol.

I had a fantastic year which began in Denver with the in laws which was great then turned 40 and became a father I then turned into a dad and ended the year with 8 months of smiling!

Sort of sums up my year briefly but about how I remember it even though there were lots more detail you can go and read about the other great times in the blog from 2010

I intend to continue this blog as long as somebody is interested enough to read the drivel I write everyday

I hope everyone has a great 2011, please comment on the blogs it lets me know you’re there

Happy New Year

“Thank you everyone for all my gifts, love Reagan!”

(Please note if you’re interested, some new posts have been slotted into the list lower down e.g. Christmas Day and Boxing Day)

One of Reagan’s favourite presents was an Abacus and Daddy broke it trying to fix it….a long story but it needed many hands to fix it after that!

So how many engineers does it take to fix an Abacus? Well apparently four and here is the proof….

The Assembly 11 dowels 11 holes 8 hands and some of evostik’s finest wood glue!
The Video

Success, in record time…about 15 minutes actually!
Look closely and you will see it is held rigid during the drying process with 9 zip ties

I bet there are sweat shops in the back streets of Thailand with children making 2 of these a minute on their own but they won’t last like a Forster-Clarke Abacus! Now how do they work again….?

OK, I’m not Cecil B Demille but these really are great for us to have, Reagan has spent the day between naps practising walking with her new toy
